Peta Tranquille founded us on February 15, 2019, to help her find other Victorian artists.

Peta moved to Melbourne in 2013 and wanted to be involved in the local art community. Only a year later over 750+ artists had joined the FB group. It has continued to grow and in July 2020 had 1100+ members.

​

The group has regular group exhibitions and is focused on networking and supporting local artists. There are regular meetup events, and many friendships have developed throughout the group.

 

July 2020 Melbourne and Victorian Artists Inc. became an official non-profit association.
