I create paintings, mixed media works and collages which evoke a sense of place or mood, appeal to the imagination and provoke deeper reflection. I rely on the power of suggestion, rather than depiction. My images are often multi-layered and reward the viewer who spends time with them.

My acrylic and oil paintings tend to be heavily textured and incorporate various found materials. My collages are usually stylized landscapes, based on Australian country, built up from found papers and often using gouache, coloured pencils, ink and crayons.

My artistic skills have been developed from short courses, self-guided study, and studying masterworks. I completed a Master of Arts Qualifying in Art History at the Australian National University.
