Creating Artwork is a journey of discovery for me....about myself and the world. My process is always exploratory. I try to follow where my marks and paint lead me, all the while "seeing" the natural world that moves me in my mind's eye . I am particularly attached to the Australian Bush and Seascapes. I want my artwork to imbue a "feeling" of being in those places. I started painting abstract works in 2018 and became hooked. I find painting abstract art both difficult and freeing every time I work. Exploring Shape and Colour and Contrast to create a visual image that speaks to the viewer is my aim. The process is important to me and the work that results. I want to create work that someone wants to sit with for a while and contemplate.
