Landscapes and nature are Kelly's usual subjects.
She is a self-employed mother of 3, a passionate renovator, a short-stay host and a creative spirit.
Living between the Dandenong Ranges and the Mornington Peninsula Kelly is never wanting for inspiration. The misty mountains with their towering mountain ash, the rolling hills with verdant motivation, and the big peninsula skies and everchanging palette are always at the forefront of her creations.
Currently working from her studio in Sherbrooke she depicts her beautiful local areas, landscapes from other's inspired locations and also places that are purely shaped from her imagination.
Slightly impressionistic, tonal and occasionally intangible, her artworks tend to have both detailed and blurred windows.
She now finds herself in her light filled studio more and more where painting allows her to remain positive and mindful. She hopes her pieces can transport the viewer to a place of introspective and inspired reflection.
Never showing her work publicly until 2020, Kelly decided during the Melbourne lockdowns to apply successfully to participate in the Dandenong Ranges Open Studios program and is now a member of the Aerie Ecology Group at Burrinja as well as a MAVA member.
