Paulina was born in Chile South America , she trained in Graphic Art. In Australia she completed a Master's degree in Visual Art at the Victorian College of Art in 2011. Paulina's art practice engages with different media, collage, acrylic paint, drawing, moving image and large format printing. The starting point of her works is by using photo manipulation software in order to a particular effect and create almost an alternative reality in which at times, different timelessness merge with each other in a seamless manner. Currently Paulina is exploring the depiction of females who had a significant impact in her process of creating a meaningful life in Australia. However,she strongly believes that her work will be always be coming from the place of an outsider. Paulina has exhibited vastly and consistently in group shows as well as solo exhibitions.
