Deep Time

Deep Time is a 4-minute generative animation inspired by the Giant Eucalyptus Raglans native to the Central Highlands area and the profound role these organisms play in supporting their surrounding ecosystem often across multiple human lifetimes. Trees operate on a different timescale to humans high above and often deep below the surface of human perception. This work is a tribute to the aeons of knowledge contained in these symbiotic natural systems that humans are only just beginning to comprehend the vast sophistication of. Networks that extend across deep time through hyphae, chemical signals, seeds and pollen.
